Rolf Yngve's MacDowell Colony: A Slide Show

​

A meditative place, it  seemed perfected by the gods for the practice of art. however, the gods only provided the raw materials. The husbandry was all at the hands of the wonderful caretakers of this place, past and present. 



Here, I spent a month with 500 pages of a novel. I learned the book, and left with 400 pages. It was the perfect moment to arrive at MacDowell. Kevin McIlvoy advised me, correctly, that such a residency is good for revision.
